This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information by The Show Vancouver Bid Corporation (“we,” “us,” or “our”) in connection with the theshowvancouver.com campaign website. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with Canada’s federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (BC PIPA).

What we collect

When you sign up we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), and postal code. We also record your CASL consent timestamp, the version of the consent text you agreed to, and your IP address and browser and device information (user-agent) at time of submission for compliance purposes.

The 143 business leaders listed on the campaign page are pre-set public signatories whose names appear by design. Your submission is private and your name will not be published on this website.

How we use it

• To send you campaign updates about bringing MLB to Vancouver (only if you gave CASL express consent)
• To record and demonstrate CASL consent for regulatory compliance
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties

Data processors

We use the following service providers who may process your personal information on our behalf:

• Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting (Cloudflare Pages), database storage (Cloudflare D1), content delivery, and bot-protection infrastructure. Your submitted information is stored in Cloudflare’s Western North America (WNAM) region on servers located in the United States. Cloudflare therefore stores and processes your data outside Canada, and by submitting the form you acknowledge this cross-border transfer. Cookies & Analytics

This website does not use third-party analytics services, advertising trackers, or tracking cookies. No marketing pixels or behavioural profiling tools are deployed on this site.

Cloudflare Turnstile, our bot-protection service, operates at the network edge. It does not place persistent tracking cookies and does not build advertising profiles. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy for details.

Data retention

Your personal information is retained until you withdraw consent or the campaign concludes, at which point it is deleted within a reasonable period. You may request early deletion at any time by contacting us at the address below.

CASL consent & withdrawal

By checking the consent box on the signup form you expressly consent under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) to receive electronic communications from The Show Vancouver Bid Corporation about the MLB Vancouver campaign. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@theshowvancouver.com. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
